I got Sanji and Hiroaki Hirata back though, so for now I guess I can forgive them for some horrible animation… At least most of Sanji’s parts looked nice.Īll in all it was a nice episode that I’ve been waiting on for a long I don’t know what happened but I wonder if they forget how Nami actually looks like? She looks like she’s from a different show alltogehter in some shots. Like I mentioned the animation in this episode is rather uneven, because sometimes it looks really nice, like when showing Zou or Sanji’s attack on Sheepshead, but at other times it’s horrible. I am excited for what’s to come with this yonkou! They way they animated him was also really nice. I loved the use of the narrator and also another great choice of voice actor with Kaidou. Then of course we got the appearance of Kaidou. Though Hawkins look quite different, because the style of this episode was rather odd at times. I’ve always loved both Kid and Hawkins, and I think this part of the episode looked a little better animated most of the time. Then we jump over to Kid, Hawkins and Apoo and I must say I really enjoyed this part of the episode. That happens way too often in the anime if I’m honest. I’m not sure what I feel about the added moment between Sanji and Nami to be honest… I mean, I like seeing new SaNami, but I just don’t like how they always make it look like Sanji is a creep while Nami pushes him away and become obviously annoyed with him. Then we got some unexpected Sanji x Nami. They also made good use of Sanji’s theme as their choice of music too. As I said, I really liked how they made the fighting scenes and the clash between Sanji and Sheepshead looked nice (thank god).
(Not sure how I feel about Ginrummy having pink hair though…) I also like that they chose Katsuyuki Konishi as Sheepshead’s seiyuu.īrook stepping in and stopping Sheepshead was a nice moment, and in general Brook had some nice scenes in this episode. I like seeing some more of the fighting with Sheepshead though, and I like him having white hair. Mostly added stuff to fill in time though, so I guess it’s not unexpected. I can’t help but enjoy all the Sanji I can in this episode, though it did feel like they made some odd changes from the manga.
#Sanji theme one piece series
But he’s there! I can hear Hiroaki Hirata’s voice give new life and new material to Sanji again!!! (I mean, the Nebulandia special barely counts…) I’ve survived thanks to re-watching the whole series with my sister, but it’s been a long time since we got our last animated moments with the Guru-wara crew. They take their time to tease and show him in either really close close-ups or far away. I understand that they need filler moments since they’re so close to the manga, but I wish they would at least try a little harder to make those moments look nice (though I would honestly prefer a whole short arc rather than dragging out the canon material).Īnd then we jump to Zou! And we can tell right from the start how aware the anime team are of how missed Sanji has been. I miss the time when they actually bothered to animate properly. I’m gonna completely ignore most of the Dressrosa part of this episode because it looked weird as hell! I mean, Zoro, nooooo! And Robin… It was almost painful to watch. My thoughts on the latest One Piece Episode.
